	– Stunning New Hotels set to open in Cape Town

With the advent of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, a stunning array of new hotel developments is set to open in the beautiful destination city of Cape Town. Among them is the 7 star One&Only, which is situated in the heart of the historic waterfront, with Table Mountain views as its backdrop.

This uber luxurious hotel will feature 130 rooms and suites, with most of the accommodation built on a private island at the centre of the waterfront. The remaining guest rooms will boast uninterrupted views of the harbour and Table Mountain. One&Only includes a pampering spa, also situated on the island, as well as beautiful pools. The Hotel is set to open mid 2009. Harbour Bridge Hotel & Suites is ideally positioned next to Cape Town International Convention Centre, on the edge of the V&A Waterfront. This innovative six floor hotel offers a 360 degree view of Cape Town, and features 40 rooms and 15 luxury suites.

Harbour Bridge’s unique design includes a fresh water canal running through the hotel, complete with "Venetian" water-taxis, which links the city to the sea. A cosmopolitan paved pedestrian walkway connects the hotel to the hub of the Convention Centre and the popular Waterfront. This 5 star Hotel is ideal for both business and leisure travelers, and is set to open in January 2009.

The 5 star Taj Palace Hotel forms part of the Mandela Rhodes Place in Cape Town’s Old City area. This 174 Room luxury hotel will boast views of the city bowl, the Company’s Gardens and majestic Table Mountain.

The creation of Taj Palace was the dream of hotel groups, Eurocape and Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL). The hotel is scheduled for completion by mid 2009.

The upmarket 15 On Orange Hotel is opening in Cape Town’s cosmopolitan city centre late 2008. This 5 star hotel comprises of 130 suites including 12 residential penthouses. 15 on Orange is conveniently located on Buitensingel, in between the South African Museum and Michaelis, and in close proximity to many of Cape Town’s top attractions. This inner city sanctuary falls under the Protea Hotel's exclusive five star brand, African Pride, Superior Deluxe Hotels, Lodges and Country Houses.

Situated in the beach suburb of Blouberg, the new Blaauwberg Beach Hotel is the first 5-star 'Green' hotel in South Africa. This luxurious 14 storey Hotel boasts a picture postcard view of Table Mountain and will feature 187 beautifully designed rooms.

The hotel was built using eco friendly materials, such as eco sensitive electrical generators with solar panel appliances, eco friendly paint and windows, solar water heaters, low-flow taps and shower heads, as well as energy efficient light fittings. The décor and finishing touches will come from recycled material. In addition the spa will only make use of natural South African herbal products.

The Blaauwberg is expected to open early 2009.
