With autumn turning to winter, we have been showered with more than just leaves and rain! A number of exciting news items have swept across our desks of late.
The outstanding One&Only Cape Town Hotel and Resort has only been in operation for two months and is wowing guests and visitors alike. The newly launched Radisson Blu group is going from strength to strength in their bid to guarantee customer satisfaction. Having recently hosted a group for two nights at Indigo Bay and Londolozi respectively, we have also featured a case study on the ultimate bush and beach itinerary.
With both the Lions Tour and 2009 Fifa Confederations Cup about to kick off on our shores, there is plenty to keep sports fans entertained during the months of June and July. Both tournaments are being hosted by South African cities which have also been selected to host 2010 Fifa World Cup matches.
The Vineyard hotel is fast becoming popular for incentives and has always been an idyllic venue for trip extensions. The construction of further rooms and an additional underground car park is currently underway to accommodate the hotel’s growing demands. Stay tuned for further news of this in future Footprints editions.
For our Green Tribe insert, we focus on a recent group visit to the Okavango in Botswana, where group members brought hope and friendship to a children’s social project in Maun.
Our featured destination is also one close to our hearts – Cape Town! For stunning views, memorable experiences, top class service and a unique selection of activities, accommodation and dining options to make your programme a dazzling affair.
News on the flight front is that SA Airlink has introduced new flights between Kruger Park, South Africa and Livingstone in Zambia. This is an excellent means of connecting a South African safari experience with more adventure at Victoria Falls.
