The restoration of this distinguished hotel involves enhancing all the unique features and qualities of this delightful establishment, while keeping its nostalgic charm. Once complete the Oyster Box Hotel will offer 87 newly refurbished and individually decorated luxury suites and rooms, including 8 garden villas and a grand Presidential Suite, each with their own plunge pools.

The rooms are carefully designed to ensure stylish yet comfortable accommodation. The décor captures the essence of its natural surroundings and includes an elegant combination of natural stones and woods, complemented by soothing ocean colours.

Each room contains complimentary mineral water, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh fruit and flowers, deluxe bath amenities, a well stocked bar fridge, beach gear, a duvet and pillow menu and an extensive 24-hour room service menu.

In addition each room offers the latest in modern comforts including a flat screen satellite TV, CD/DVD players, two direct dial telephones with voicemail, high-speed Wifi, in-room safes, finger-tip controlled heat and air-conditioning, and heated towel rails.

The Oyster Box offers a selection of 3 exquisite restaurants. The legendary Grill Room, the Ocean Terrace restaurant and the Palm Court restaurant are undergoing refurbishment and will offer the finest Indian curries and spectacular seafood fare. The Lighthouse Bar, with its stunning ocean views, will offer enticing cocktails, while the Oyster Bar is a haven for fresh oysters and delicious snacks.

The Oyster Box Hotel’s banqueting and conferencing rooms have been upgraded to include state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The stunning Pearl and Shell Rooms have spectacular sea views, and offer a breathtaking setting for a function or conference. The hotel’s tropical gardens boast an amphitheatre - perfect for wedding ceremonies and outdoor functions.

The renovations of the hotel will also include a spa with 6 treatment rooms, reflection pools and plunge pool, two heated swimming pools, a 24 seater cinema, private fitness centre, additional secure parking, and a Kiddies Club. Renovations are set for completion in the second half of 2009.
