This year has seen the biggest floodwaters in 40 years and this Savanna Lodge, located close to the river but on the Namibian side (Caprivi Strip), was left somewhat ravaged. It re-opened in June after two months of repair and refurbishment and is back to its stunning glory. This lodge is sensational and enjoys 270 degree views of both sides of the river and the Puku Flats. There are 12 stylish brick and thatch suites. An exclusive hideaway and haven of tranquility away from the bigger lodges and bustle of Kasane Town (Botswana), a stone’s throw away on the other side of the river.
