The David Livingstone Safari Lodge is perfect for incentive groups up to
154 people
Just 10 minutes from the Victoria Falls, at a majestic and exclusive location at the edge of the Zambezi River, The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa may be four star, but it’s a five star experience for incentive groups at very reasonable cost – the perfect solution. And it has its own luxury river boat that can cater for all 154 guests.
Walk through the giant twin wooden doors of the David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa near Livingstone and their slogan “The Real Africa” comes alive! Your first view is the mighty Zambezi River immediately ahead, just 50 metres away, and you are also quickly aware that you are in a very special place with rich African ambience.
Officially rated four star, it looks and feels every inch up to five star quality. For style, feel-good ambience and location this is a perfect solution for bigger incentive groups as it has 72 standard en-suite rooms and five glorious loft-style suites, each with Jacuzzi. Thus it can handle groups up to 154 people at a spot just a 10-minute drive from the Victoria Falls.
Here are some of the notable features that make this a special place:
Very cost-effective for its style, class and location
Able to accommodate big groups
Every room faces the Zambezi River and none is more than an incredible 20 metres away
Room designs ensure you wake up to stunning views of The Real Africa across the Zambezi. Even when you lie in a relaxing bath you may gaze out over the river.
You may access the lodge by boat from upstream or downstream – a great way for a group to arrive via jet boat water taxi (up to 40 people) or by luxury boat for the full group if bigger.
The resort boat. The Lady Livingstone is pure elegance and luxury and can take up to 144 people. It has three decks, including the exclusive 12-seat upper deck.
The infinity pool is majestic because it is literally perched at the very edge of the river.
The river deck is superb for functions and is also located right at the edge of the river for the most perfect atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, dinner or sunset events.
The first floor Kalai restaurant caters for all 152 people and also has stunning views over the river.
There is a state of the art spa and wellness centre – five single treatment rooms and one double treatment room. Again, the views have been crafted into the design to add to the tranquillity and mood.
There are two conference rooms, the biggest for 80 people.
There are wireless internet facilities and a curio shop.
This hotel, which opened in June 2008, is highly recommended for incentive groups.
